The Marathon Moving Company Story
Marathon Moving Company was founded in 2013 by husband and wife team, Neal and Angie Leeper when they had an idea to start a better moving company that took better care of its customers and employees. The couple first partnered with Tyler Kastl, who was managing a non-profit moving company in Greensboro, North Carolina, and had developed a clear vision for running a successful moving company. Together they built a rock-solid business foundation based on treating their employees like family, and then extending that care to each and every customer.
In fact, the plan worked so well that Tyler, along with two of his trusted supervisors George and Randall, made an offer to purchase Marathon Moving Company in 2020 – and it was accepted! The company is now 100% owned and operated by the very same team that organizes and executes your residential and commercial moves.
It all began with one truck. Tyler, Big Jon, Neal, and Angie grew into a team that includes over 20 employees. Marathon Moving now features a fleet of four trucks and a climate-controlled warehouse for customer interim storage needs. We’ve earned more than a hundred 5-star Google reviews and overwhelmingly positive testimonials from HomeAdvisor, Facebook, and the Better Business Bureau. Marathon Moving Company is an award-winning member of the North Carolina Movers Association and has become one of the top-rated moving companies in Greensboro, NC, and the state of North Carolina.
Marathon Moving Company continues to appreciate its employees, which in turn benefits each customer. We compensate our team members with the highest, most competitive wages in the area. Together we’ve helped over one thousand families, individuals, and businesses seamlessly relocate to, from, and within the Piedmont Triad Area and beyond. With Marathon Moving Company, it’s not just about moving boxes. It’s about delivering a new beginning for families and businesses.

This event is a family fun festival that offers an interactive and hands-on experience for children and their families to learn more about the trucks that they see on the roads in North Carolina. Marathon Moving Company shows children the inside of the moving truck and how they use the ramp to safely transport, properly secure and move a family’s belongings when bringing them to their new home.
