This relocation insurance option values your furniture at 60 cents per pound if something is damaged. This means you most likely will not receive the full or current market value of the damaged or lost items. We recommend this coverage to customers who are moving locally and are moving mostly standard household goods, after all, damages are rare.

Full Value Protection (FVP) – This is our upgraded moving insurance plan and is also required by law. With full value protection moving insurance the customer declares the value of their belongings and selects which valuables to use FVP for at the beginning of the move. In case of a total loss or damages, this insurance plan will pay the current market replacement value of your item so you can repair or replace it. We recommend the upgraded coverage to individuals or families moving long-distance, or if you are moving highly valuable or irreplaceable items. If you require additional coverage, ask us what third party moving insurance companies we recommend.
